Road showing how 15m is all you need (or 18m if including car parking)

This video shows cycling along Groningerstraat, Assen, Netherlands.

It has a separate pavement, one-way cycleway, car parking and trees, 6m-wide two-way carriageway, one-way cycleway and pavement.

From edge-to-edge, the whole street is just under 18m wide - so about the same as many primary streets in British cities.

The widths, which we measured on-street, are:

Pavement: 2m
Cycleway (one-way): 2.25m
Parking and trees interspersed: 2m
Carriageway (two-way) for cars/trucks: 6m
Bushes: 1.2m
Cycleway: 2.25m
Pavement: 2m
